Full leather binding in tan goatskin with beige sewn silk headbands and leather joints. Overall foil tooling on both boards within two visual layers. One is dominated by colours such as reds, blues, greens and browns whilst the second layer has three shades of silver. The spine is structured by a free formation of titling in silver and half-matt silver.

Hand-dyed papers were used for the gold-tan bord-a-bord endpapers and the blue flyleaves. The chemise and slipcase are covered in purple paper and lined with dark green Alcantara. All papers used are hand died.

The novel is an autobiographical account of a young official who is imprisoned in his room for six weeks. Whilst contenting himself with small excursions within detainment, say from bed to door, his mind muses and takes flight. I was interested to see if I could create two such distinct layers of movement,- separate yet firmly dovetailed into each other. Have I?
